32.1 About the P-Synch GUI files

The P-Synch GUI is a set of HTML snippets loaded into the CGI program at run-time to dynamically construct pages. The HTML snippets are contained in NPH-*.Z files in the cgi-bin directory, usually <instance name>\cgi-bin. Within this directory there are sub-directories for English (\en-us), French (\fr-ca), and Dutch (\nl-be). See Section HERE to learn how to add other languages. There is one *.Z file for each CGI program.

Every time a P-Synch CGI program displays an HTML page, it loads the relevant HTML snippets, replaces codes in those snippets with session specific data and displays the resulting page on the user's web browser. The query string LANG=<DIR> (e.g. lang=en-us) in the URL makes P-Synch use the appropriate language directory.
